Welcome

To the entire ESPHM community,

On behalf of the Czech Pig Veterinary Society (CPVS) I would like to express our excitement to host the 2017 European Symposium of Porcine Health Management (ESPHM2017). We are very honoured and look forward to extending a warm welcome to all members and industry partners of both the ECPHM and EAPHM to our capital city, Prague.

There are several reasons why CPVS are delighted to host such a prestigious event:

Firstly, hosting the ESPHM meeting in Prague will encourage developments in the Czech pig veterinary profession and provide the perfect platform to raise the profile of Czech Veterinary research and procedures within the European community.
Secondly, it will provide an opportunity for our young graduates and researches to benefit from exposure to the latest scientific developments and extend their network within the industry.
Thirdly, conveniently located in the heart of Europe, Prague provides a brilliant location to bring together and enhance cooperation between Western, Central and Eastern European Porcine communities for an improved international co-operation.
Finally, Prague is continually ranked amongst the top 10 European tourist cities and also European event destinations. With this in mind it is a perfect base and location for such an international event.

For delegates visiting us in Prague, ESPHM 2017 promises the following benefits:

  • A well-developed scientific and social program
  • A highly convenient one stop solution including the symposium venue, 2 major hotels and a metro station, all within 5 minutes of the UNESCO World Heritage listed city centre.
  • Complimentary transportation for all delegates for the symposium duration provided by the City of Prague.
  • Support from a range of Czech based scientific institutions.
  • An incredible rich history and culture with a wide range of tour options for all visitors.

We truly hope to have the pleasure and privilege of welcoming you to ESPHM in 2017 to Prague.

Yours sincerely

MVDr. Kateřina Nechvátalová, Ph.D.
President of the Czech Pig Veterinary Society
